Invention is the child of necessity. Needing something is the dad of inspiration. Innovation is the daughter of desire. I’m trying not to use the classic adage because it’s such a cliché at this point, but boy, does it ring true. So I thought I’d try a few twists on the original.
How Toasty Touch Was Born
Toasty Touch is a textbook “necessity leads to invention” creation. It came about because I have a really bad case of Raynaud’s, not the mild kind that flares up just in winter, but the maddening kind that hits every time I wash my hands. I needed a reliable, convenient way to warm my hands that didn’t exist.
Three years ago, I had an aha moment and went for it. I stood at what felt like the edge of a cliff and jumped, creating Toasty Touch Ultra Thin Heated Gloves.
