We love our Australian friends of Toasty Touch! What delightful folks! Aussies have written some of our most wonderful reviews and are among the friendliest people we’ve encountered since we created the world’s thinnest heated gloves just over three years ago.
Did you know that Raynaud’s syndrome affects a significant portion of the Australian population? Somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 to 20 percent of Australians battle this frustrating disease, including men and women and people of all ages — even some well-known people.
One of these people is Australian comedian Geraldine Hickey, who is known for her role as co-host of the Breakfasters program on Melbourne community radio station 3RRR.
She’s knows how frustrating it is to have to explain her frozen fingers to people all the time. She even talked about it during her show at the Sydney Comedy Festival.
“This show is an opportunity to explain what Raynaud’s is to as many people at once, because doing it individually is a pain,” she wrote.
Another Australia-based celebrity with Raynaud’s is Helena Sauzier, a cast member of The Bachelor Australia.
“Living with Raynaud’s means I quite literally hang out for summer every single year (and complain incessantly about the cold the rest of the time),” she wrote on social media.
Raynaud’s can affect anyone. One minute you’ve never heard of Raynaud’s, and the next minute it’s upending your life and making you miserable.
Heated gloves are a game-changer, and no, you don’t have to wear big bulky winter gloves that make it hard to use your fingers. Toasty Touch was founded by a Raynaud’s sufferer who exhaustively searched for thin heated gloves that would let her live her life without having to hold hand-warmers and without encasing her fingers in thick ski gloves. The gloves she dreamed of simply didn’t exist, so she took matters into her own cold hands and brought her dream gloves to life for herself and for her fellow Raynaud’s warriors.
Just three years into Toasty Touch, the gloves she created have already improved the lives of thousands of people, including many people across the great country of Australia!
To show our appreciation to the many Australians who have made Toasty Touch a success, we are making Toasty Touch gloves even more accessible to Australians and have opened a warehouse in Melbourne! No more long waits to receive your gloves. Your next pair of Toasty Touch gloves are already in Australia just waiting to warm your chilly hands and keep you comfortable all winter long.
